Back from a long trip
Posted On 02/01/2008 00:47:20 by pjskunk
Wow it has been over two weeks already and that was such an enjoyable trip. We stayed in St Charles for almost two weeks and stayed with kitty's church reader Mark and his family, kitty did a few services and i had done a bit of relaxing. Kyle the person who is going to be staying with us in June, gave me a nice knife as a gift: now i need to decide how iam going to display it. We got to see Sweeny Todd and it was a really dark movie, but it was really brilliant. its just too bad that the stupid theater here refuses to play it.

We left last Friday and then almost drove straight onto Denver, stopping once in Russell Kansas. That is where i felt like i could not drive anymore, at 4am and then stayed at motel til 11am. then we went to Subway where there were a couple interesting girls working there, one was a republican and the other a democrat and they admitted that it has lead to interesting discussions between them. That their town is where Bob Dole came from. We got to Denver at around 5pm.

Spent at least three days there. We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express right next to I-70 and Kipling we went to meet up with kitty's friend John. I decided to leave early a few times since kitty and him were talking until 11pm. Lupine Lone olf came to vivit us and stayed with us for a few days. We had missed him and he missed us too, since when we left Denver a few years ago. We took him out to lunch, drove around town with him and took him to the Crypt to get some stuff. We had a chance to snuggle with him quite a bit which was really fun. He went with me to a few computer stores and I bought kitty a blue tooth adapter and a large pocket which i need to find a use for. I also bought his some fair trade coffee from a local shop. Lupine stayed until when we were leaving town from him. He is very nice and kind.

On the way out we stopped at microcenter. at first i missed the exit and then had to go all the way back to Parker road and then took the road that is at the top of the dam to get back. Kitty and i was in that store like for an hour looking for stuff, unfortunately we could not decide easily on what we needed. I ended up getting a few parts that i knew i really needed. I bought a 500 watt power supply, a CD writer (I actually thought it was a DVD writer), and 512 MB of RAM (i needed it since the company i bought a previous set from only gave me 256 MB, when they said it was 512). I really needed a power supply because the previous one was not giving enough power. when i installed it, it turned out i was running a 380 watt, instead of the 450 i thought it was.

Everything worked out and iam glad for that. We drove straight down to Roswell, kitty taking over the driving after we took the cutoff to Pastura, near Las Vegas. He drove until we got to the Restarea in Mesa, then i drove the rest of the way.
