Tonight I went looking for a nice place to setup my telescope and sit a while. I did not even need to do much to find it, except think about Bottomless Lakes State Park just 12 miles outside of Roswell. past the top of Comanche hill there is the entrance to bottomless lakes state park and the county road 64.

not the best night to go observing, with the moon near full and there being a 14mph chilly breeze coming from the south. But is was worth it for the view of town and surrounding area. As i looked at the map it appears that there are numerous craters nearby, which i might try to visit sometime. I got a great view of the moon and looked at a few of its mountains.
My mate just got a Bi-Pap machine to help with his sleep apnea and it gave me an idea of something to build. I would take a pump and make it have multiple hose ports to connect to a few computers and pump air into them. I then would take an old box fan and rip out its motor and blades and attach the hose to its frame so I can use its screws to mount it to the back of the computer case. I will see if i can get the schematics to build a air pressure controller to make easy adjustments to it. I tinkered with the idea when i was younger when I took masking tape and made it into a hose and attached it from the room air conditioner to my first custom box. it worked really great until i worried about moisture. I will just have to go to westlake hardware to find the right size hose, but I might go with duct tape as a test-hose.
